Paper Wireframes

When sketching paper wireframes, many exploration routes were taken and even experimental web design-like ideas while still trying to remain within Miyabi’s brand guides and style. These were the 3 chosen and for the final it was combined from these 3.

Prototypes

For prototypes, 3 versions were created but the final one was the one here. More gradients to match the branding, approaching layout like editorial for web, and making graphic and image placement intentional, as well as adding lines for each section to give a contemporary feel and strengthen branding with each detail.

FINAL MOCKUPS

Conclusion

It was super exciting to learn a new program and to do it with a project that means dearly to me made it special but also a learning process. My peers tend to say this is one of my strongest projects and to be able to create an interactive version of it from print was an interesting experience.

This project taught me WordPress well and how to translate a physical design to be expanded into the digital. Not only expanding it but to make it cohesive with what already exists.

I thought learning WordPress was challenging but has also helped my web-design skills a lot. It made building websites faster compared to code but was not as easy. This motivates me to want to get better at WordPress and have a passion to create cool websites!
